I don’t feel like blogging, but I feel guilty if I don’t because
I don’t want to forget anything about this experience. I need to go bed (as
always) too.
Today wasn’t exciting, just my average life. Woke up at 6:30, took
the boy to school, took a train to Paris, went to orientation (although I did
hang out at the Arc de Triomphe with my au pair friend for a little bit
before). Orientation was dumb… did not learn anything or really meet anyone. We
did meet a Mexican girl who was sweet, but who knows if I will ever see her
again bc she is in a level above us. Afterwards I took a metro ride (foreverrr—the
metro takes forever here) and saw Jerome for a bit before I had to catch my
train back to my village.
Drove home, hung out with the dad, then picked up the
girl, then the boy, then we rode bikes, I kinda helped with dinner. We ate
chicken cooked with tomatoes and red peppers and a vegetable purée, which was
pretty good. I also went to the boulangerie with the girl and bought some bread
that way ate, super yummy. I talked to the mom in French for a bit to
explaining about my weekend plans and the classes I will take when I start
school.
Tomorrow is Friday! I am excited, but I have been to Paris
twice this week, so it doesn’t quite hold the magic, but how can I really say
that?! I don’t really have too many plans. But Saturday night I am going out with
one of my SKEMA friends from last semester, soooo happy to see him!!! And
hopefully during the day I will see my au pair friend!! Maybe go out with her
and her friends for a bit tomorrow too. Idk…I always have a plan, but I will
just wing it this weekend—whatever I am in Paris, so I will be a happy camper.
Sorry this was a lame/lazy blog…. Hopefully I have something
interesting to say after this weekend.
